Senior Accountant/NetSuite Team Lead

Role: Responsible for the performance and optimization of NetSuite modules, including but not limited to financials, inventory management, human capital management and purchasing. Work closely with cross- functional teams serving as the BFG’s expert on the NetSuite platform. This role requires a strong understanding of financial and operational processes, along with excellent technical, analytical and communication skills.

Perform routine and special cost analyses in accordance with corporate policies and procedures. Prepare and analyze accurate cost records and reports. Provide adequate and accurate cost information. Reports to Controller.

NetSuite Team Lead Responsibilities:

  • Be the primary NetSuite point of contact and subject matter expert for BFG users.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into system enhancements, customizations, and configurations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Perform ongoing maintenance and optimization of NetSuite modules, including but not limited to financials, project management, inventory management, order management, human capital management and purchasing.
  • Develop and implement custom workflows, saved searches, reports, and dashboards to support business operations and improve efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain system documentation, including process flows, system configurations, and user training guides.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, system errors, and performance bottlenecks.
  • Stay up-to-date with NetSuite enhancements and support the implementation of system upgrades and communicate updates to internal stakeholders and users.

Senior Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Research, calculate and analyze cost accounting records. Verify accuracy of accounting summaries and resolve inconsistencies. Reconciles general ledger accounts and correct errors with journal entries.
  • Preparation of periodic (weekly, monthly) accounting reconciliations. Ensure that direct costs are accurate and realistic. Verify and correct periodic reports. Participate and assist in the preparation and analysis of monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements. Perform routine functions involving shared resources, and provide information requested by other accounting personnel.
  • Provide management with detailed cost data supplied by the accounting systems. Collaborate with Controller to devise, implement and administer systems.
  • Ensure that the Company`s inventory costs are accurate.
  • Prepare and post inventory entries. Cost allocation of Direct, and Overhead Costs. Perform audits, investigative functions and calculate overhead costs.
  • Analyze and interpret impact of trends and incorporate these financial changes into standard cost system if necessary.
  • Assist the Controller in maintaining adequate internal controls. Discuss any potential weaknesses and help with implementing changes as needed. Inform Controller of weaknesses or situations within the Company that may develop into potential problems along with suggestions of possible solutions.
  • Report all anticipated changes to existing reports and data, any new requested reports and data; Assist the auditors by providing required information.
  • Comply with all laws and regulations, and GAAP associated with responsibilities and duties.



  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Business Information Systems; CPA designation preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting work experience with extensive financial reporting and analysis
  • Completion of NetSuite certifications (such as SuiteFoundation, Administrator, ERP Consultant)
  • 5 – 7 years project management lead in implementing full cycle of NetSuite Financial, ERP, Inventory and Warehouse management, HR and payroll packages
  • Proven subject matter expert with NetSuite Finance modules.
  • Excellent computer skills, accounting software applications.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Ability to create documentation for processes/procedures.
  • Ability to generate periodic reports and present results/analyses to senior management.
  • Fully proficient in custom record types, fields, forms, roles and permissions, page layouts, searches and reports, and NetSuite data model
  • Excellent technical and analytical skills with attention to detail while working under pressure and deadlines.
  • Effective and customer-oriented communications (verbal and written) with stakeholders, cross functional teams and users.
