Warehouse Associate

  • Requirement: Full-time
  • Markham on

Role:

Under supervision, shipment preparation, auditing and stocking of materials. May also be required to assist with receiving asset returns, storing, and inventorying, product and parts, in warehouse

Requirements:

  • Prepare outbound Vendor shipments and verify inbound Vendor shipment
  • Communication with internal team members (Receiving and Shipping)
  • Position and store inventory items – stocking shelves
  • Maintain and provide accurate inventory documentation and updates, within the time frame and format specified by the company
  • Assist with inventory procedures for record keeping and inventory control.
  • Participate in periodic inventory audits.
  • Perform light housekeeping as required; maintain neatness and cleanliness of warehouse area.
  • Operate equipment used to move product around a warehouse.
  • Must be able to work flexible time schedules.
  • Perform any other duties as required.

Preferred:

  • Excellent Computer skills in Microsoft Office
  • Familiar with warehouse management systems including RF Scanners
  • Minimum high school Graduation.
  • Minimum 2 years working in material handling or in a similar warehouse environment.
  • Able to lift up to 20 kilograms.
  • Safety footwear required.
  • Long periods of standing and walking required.
  • Certified forklift operator is an asset

Safety Requirements:

  • Personal Protective Equipment
    • All Personal Protective Equipment with the exception of CSA Approved Footwear is provided by BFG:
      • CSA Approved Footwear
      • Long pants (supplied by employee)
      • Safety Glasses
      • Gloves
      • Milwaukee Safety Knife
  • Training
    • All of the required job specific safety training will be provided by BFG:
      • WHMIS 2015
      • Ministry of Labour 4 Step H&S Awareness TrainingEmployees must meet all of the above training requirements prior to being deployed or assigned projects.
